Gina Louise’s Story
There was a time when I had quietly given up on myself, years of loss, difficult relationships and living with PTSD and PMDD had left me feeling exhausted, disconnected and unsure of who I was anymore.
From the outside, I looked capable, but on the inside, I felt as though I was simply surviving.
I had stopped believing life could feel joyful again.
Then, one day, something unexpected happened, I found an online yoga class and began practicing in the corner of my bedroom!
At first, it was simply a way to get through another day, one gentle movement became another, those quiet moments slowly became something I began looking forward to.
As my confidence grew, I found the courage to join a gym and for the first time in a long time, I began trusting my body instead of fighting against it.
Movement became more than exercise, it became my medicine.
The stronger my body became, the quieter my self-doubt grew and eventually, I found myself doing something I never imagined possible! I began running, not because I wanted to become an athlete, but because I had discovered something far more important - I was no longer running away from my life, I was running towards it.
Curious to understand why movement had changed me so profoundly, I began studying and what started as a personal journey became a professional one.
I qualified as a Personal Trainer, Yoga Teacher & Pilates Instructor, not because I had all the answers, but because I wanted to understand how the body and emotional world could heal together.
Fast forward 10 years and today I have the privilege of saying I have supported hundreds of women and teen girls through many of life's changing seasons, including hormonal changes… menopause… Divorce… Burnout… Motherhood… Stress... and much more.
I have supported teens through moments when they feel lost and women through moments when they simply no longer recognise themselves anymore.
My philosophy is that...
A strong body and a compassionate mind can exist together.
You don’t need a fit body to get on mat.
You don't need the perfect body to feel good.
You don't need the perfect plan.
You don't even need to feel ready.
You simply need a desire to feel better.
One breath… One heartbeat… One gentle supported step at a time.
Stories Across Oceans
Calling All Women - Your Story Matters
Every woman whose story I have had the honour of hearing reached a moment when something needed to change.
None of them were looking for perfection, they were simply finding their own way to feel lighter, stronger, more connected and more like themselves again.
For some, movement became part of that journey — a walk, a stretch, returning to the gym, stepping onto a mat, moving through grief, rebuilding confidence or simply discovering that their body could become somewhere they felt at home again.
And now, I would love to hear your story.
If movement, wellness or learning to care for yourself differently has helped you through a changing season of life, you are invited to share your experience below.
Your words may become the gentle reminder another woman needs to realise that change is possible for her too.
Because connection doesn't always begin with a dramatic moment.
Sometimes it begins when one person is brave enough to share what helped them take their next step — and that story creates a ripple that travels further than they will ever know.
Share your story and become part of the ripple.
Together, let's create a ripple of wellness that travels across oceans.
