Emotional & Physical Wellness for Secondary-School Girls

Youth Ripple™

Explore Move Regulate & Rest

Youth Ripple™ is a small-group programme giving girls space to understand their thoughts, emotions and changing bodies — while discovering practical tools to support themselves when life feels overwhelming.

Through guided exploration, movement, breathwork, restorative practices and Dreamscaping, girls learn ways to support both their body and emotional world — inside school and beyond.

Six girls. Six weeks. A lifetime of regulation

    REGULATE & REST

Breathwork, Dreamscaping and restorative positions provide practical tools for moments of stress, worry, heightened emotion or overwhelm.

Why The Youth Ripple

A different kind of hour in the school week

School. Friendships. Social media. Hormones. Expectations. Comparison. Family life. Growing up.

Teenage life can feel incredibly loud.

Youth Ripple™ creates an hour each week to slow things down.

Girls begin to understand how their thoughts, emotions and physical sensations can be connected, while learning practical ways to respond when stress, worry, anger or overwhelm begins to build.

Because understanding what you're feeling matters.

The Body Matters

Tools they can take beyond the classroom

Girls spend much of their school day sitting, thinking, listening and processing.

Youth Ripple™ gives them another way to support themselves

through their body

Across the six weeks, girls learn simple stretches, restorative positions and breathing practices they can return to when they notice tension, stress, worry, anger or overwhelm building.

A stretch when the body feels tense.

A breathing practice before something daunting.

A restorative position after a difficult day.

A pause before reacting.

The aim isn't to make difficult emotions disappear, it is to help girls discover that there are things they can do to support themselves through them.

Six Weeks Of Understanding Yourself

Self-Awareness, Thoughts & Our Monkey Mind

Noticing emotions, understanding busy thoughts and beginning to separate “what I'm thinking” from “who I am.”

WEEK FOUR

Nourishing & Resting Our Energy

Exploring sleep, nourishment, hydration, movement and rest — and how they can support physical and emotional wellbeing.

WEEK TWO

Emotions & The Mind–Body Connection

Exploring how thoughts, emotions and physical sensations interact and what can happen in the body when feelings become big.

WEEK FIVE

Expression, Anger & Communication

Understanding difficult emotions, discovering what may sit beneath anger and practising healthier ways to communicate and ask for support.

WEEK THREE

Hormones, Self-Care & The You Beneath Your Emotions

Understanding changing emotions and hormones while exploring compassionate, everyday self-care.

WEEK SIX

Vision Your Future Self

Recognising strengths, reflecting on what has been learned and looking towards the person and life each girl would like to continue growing into.

Tools That Leave The Room With Them

  • Geometric drawing of an outline square with sections divided by vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines.

THE SESSION ENDS. THE TOOLS DON'T.

Over six weeks, girls build a simple toolkit of movement, breathing, restorative practices, emotional awareness and compassionate self-talk that they can begin exploring independently.

    Before an exam.

    After an argument.

    When thoughts won't slow down.

    When the body feels tense.

    When anger rises.

When life simply feels like too much.

Small tools for real moments in real life.

It's about what she learns to take with her.

    SMALL BY DESIGN

Youth Ripple™ is delivered to groups of up to six secondary-school girls, selected by the school based on who they feel may benefit.

The small-group environment creates space for individual attention and a quieter, less exposed experience.

Girls participate at their own pace.

There is never an expectation to disclose personal experiences in order to belong in the room.

Founder · A State of Mind Studio

Gina created Youth Ripple™ from a simple belief:

Young people deserve the opportunity to understand themselves, not simply be told how they should feel.

Her approach brings the physical and emotional worlds together through compassionate conversation, movement, breath, restorative practices and supportive inner dialogue.

Because wellbeing isn't only something we think about.

It is something we can learn to support within our body too.
